I Am Second

Today our church started a new series, which is really a movement that has been started by some nice folks out in Texas, that we’re partnering with. If you can’t tell by the title, it’s called “I Am Second”. The whole premise behind this movement is putting your self second. Second to God and second to other people. I Am Second.

If you have time, check out www.iamsecond.com and watch some of the videos. They are done very well and tell the stories of many people who’s lives have been radically changed by the power of Christ. I’m really stoked that our church is doing this and cannot wait to see God move in and through our people in a new and fresh way.

We’re going to be launching some new small groups around this, which you can sign up at church or come to one of the two training opportunities: August 18th at 7pm or August 22nd at 4:30pm.

Camp Bahamas 2010 – Day 1!

Today we left the church at 5am and boarded a plane with Missionary Flights out of Fort Pierce and headed to the island of Eleuthera, part of the Bahamas. This is my third year coming to the Bahamas. This week we will be continuing construction for our friends’ organization, “Camp Bahamas” which offers Christian camp for underprivileged and orphan Bahamian children. We’ll also be taking to the streets and spreading some Jesus love among the people in Tarpum Bay! Excited for what God will do in and through our team. We are expecting God to make something beautiful out of this week! Please be praying for our team during this coming week. Thank you! More videos to come each day of our trip!

The Hope of Heaven

As I listen to Phil Wickham’s “Heaven Song”, I can’t help but think about how awesome Heaven will actually be. It’s just the realization that no matter what junk, problems, or drama you are going through, the hope of Heaven makes it all worth it. The fact that you will be able to spend the entirety of eternity with the creator of everything. The fact that you won’t experience pain. The fact that perfect peace will exist and that you will have it. The fact that you will forever worship the one who brought you into existence and somehow finds ways to love you even though you are completely unworthy. The fact that you will experience God constantly and nothing will come between that. The hope of Heaven… Enough to get you by in this life, wouldn’t you say?

Adventure Week 2010

We just wrapped up another great year of Adventure Week here at Fellowship! God has done some great things through our church this week.
